Location
Oriel College is the fifth oldest college in Oxford University. It was founded in 1326 by King Edward II. The College’s official title is ‘The Home of the Blessed Mary the Virgin in Oxford, commonly called Oriel College, of the Foundation of Edward the Second of famous memory, sometime King of England.’ Oriel College stands in the centre of the University area on the High Street.

Holywell Music Room is the oldest custom-built concert hall in the world. It opened its doors to the public for the first time in 1748. Handel and Mozart are among the many famous composers and musicians to have appeared here.

We shall be holding a formal banquet on Sunday 22 June at 7:30pm in the Oriel College Main Dining Hall, with a drinks reception beforehand. You are very welcome to dress formally ŕ la Fred for the occasion (but this is by no means mandatory).
